Fruix is a match-3 game with a fruity theme that like many games of this genre, is maddeningly addictive.
Fruix requires you to match fruits with a focus on planning ahead so you don't get caught-out making it quite a challenging but absorbing game. Fruix is a slight variation of the traditional match-3 game but instead of swapping, or adding items, you simply remove a pair of fruit with each move. When the pair are removed, the remaining fruit fall down and fruit groups are made with the aim being to match 3 fruits. If you don't, the removed fruits will be automatically replaced and you have to start again.
To make things a bit more interesting, you can rotate the whole board to get a better look at what's possible and give you a fresh perspective. The level of difficulty in Fruix varies a lot. You can choose from Easy, Relaxed, Medium or Hard levels so Fruix is suitable for all ages and abilities. However, even Easy mode is quite a challenge at first. Fortunately, Fruix offers hints and tips if it notices you are stuck and if the arrangements of fruit are impossible to score points with, you can hit a Panic button to rearrange the board. And if that's still too difficult, a Free mode allows you to make as many mistakes as you want without worrying about the clock too.
With slick graphics, absorbing gameplay and no annoying cheesy soundtrack, Fruix is an excellent match-3 puzzle game.
